Important changes to Canadian immigration
The Canadian government has announced two new changes that will come into effect from today:
End of “Flagpoling” – The practice of applying for or renewing work and study visas at the US border will be ended in order to reduce high demand at the borders and allow agents to focus on higher priority issues.
End of the 50 extra points for LMIA in Express Entry – This change seeks to combat fraud related to fictitious jobs and the marketing of LMIAs, ensuring a fairer system.
