TOURIST VISA AND eTA
Canada is one of the largest countries in the world in territorial extension. There are several national parks, mountains, lakes, resorts, incredible cities, international cuisine and ski resorts, all designed for your entertainment and leisure.
However, for you to enjoy this world of opportunities, you need a Tourist Visa. ImmiServices makes the entire tourist visa process for you, your dependents, friends and family.
Who Needs a Visa?
Who does not have a passport from the list of countries exempt from visa requirements, those who have never visited Canada or who do not have the valid tourist visa from the United States of America (USA).
A Temporary Resident Visa (TRV), also known as Visitor Visa, is an official document issued by a Canadian Consular Authority that is placed on your passport to show that you have met the requirements for admission to Canada as a temporary resident (whether as a visitor, student or worker). People wishing to visit Canada to spend holidays, visit family, take short courses (less than six months) or conduct business should apply for a TRV before arriving in Canada. The TRV will have the validity of your passport, with multiple entries and comes with some restrictions.
Eligibility:
To get a TRV you need to satisfy some conditions.
Some of these conditions are as follows:
1) You must prove that you will leave Canada after the end of your visit;
2) You must be able to prove that you have sufficient funds to support yourself and any accompanying family members who come with you;
3) A letter of acceptance for your short course;
4) You should not have a criminal record and be willing to make a police check, among several other prerequisites and financial supporting documents and links with your country of origin.
eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization)
If you are from one of the countries that do not need a TRV to visit Canada then you will need to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA).
According to new entry requirements, visa-free aliens who come to Canada or transit through a Canadian airport need an eTA except for US Citizens, persons with a valid Canadian visa, Canadian Citizens or Canadian Permanent Residents.
The prerequisites for getting an eTA are basically the same as for TRV, but it has an extremely fast period for a feedback. You may need to submit documents before your eTA is approved. If this happens to you, an email will be sent with instructions within 72 hours.
An eTA may be valid for about five years or earlier if your passport expires. With a valid eTA, you can travel to Canada as many times as you want for short stays, which usually lasts six months. It should be emphasized that if you are entering Canada via land or sea (and not by air), you will need a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) and not an eTA.
Make an Express Consultation with ImmiServices and know which one applies to you and your family or companions. Our Consultants will assess whether you need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) or a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV), will fill out all paperwork, collect documents and follow your process until you receive your TRV or eTA.
